Veiled Companion[]
The veiled allegiant’s drake companion must have the akashic drake companion archetype.
This modifies the dragoon’s drake companion class feature.
Veilbond[]
The veiled allegiant’s magical bond with their akashic drake allows the drake’s natural attunement to the powers of akasha to flow through their bond, bestowing the drake’s veils upon the veiled allegiant. This bond also further amplifies the akashic drake’s veilweaving, allowing them to better attune to the power of their essence.
At 1st level, while the veiled allegiant and their drake companion are within 60 feet of each other the veiled allegiant gains the benefits of one of the akashic drake’s shaped veils. This veil is treated as bound if the akashic drake has the veil bound, and is considered to be invested with the same amount of essence as the akashic drake’s matching veil. This veil does not take up the veiled allegiant’s veil slots or chakra slots. If the veil is sundered (either the copy shaped on the veiled allegiant, or the original shaped by the akashic drake) the veil is suppressed for both. While the veiled allegiant is within 60 feet of their drake companion they can change which veil they are sharing the effects of as a swift action.
The akashic drake’s veilweaving is also improved by this bond; it uses the veiled allegiant’s character level as their veilweaving level for their veils, and for determining the essence capacity of their veils. Their improved essence capacity feature also improves, increasing the essence capacity of their essence receptacles when the veiled allegiant reaches 3rd, 9th, and 15th level, rather than the normal levels presented in the feature.
This replaces the dragoon’s brutal bond class feature.
Akashic Talent[]
At 2nd level and every even level thereafter, the veiled allegiant’s drake companion may either gain a combat talent or an akashic feat. The veiled allegiant’s drake uses its Charisma as its practitioner ability modifier.

At 4th level, as long as the veiled allegiant and their drake companion are within 60 feet of each other, their bond allows them to alter each other's essence receptacles and share essence between the two of them. Whenever one of them spends an action to invest or reallocate their essence, the other may also invest or reallocate their essence as a free action that can be done even when it isn’t their turn. In addition, they can choose to invest their own essence in the other’s essence receptacles, or vice versa. If they move more than 60 feet away from each other while their essence is invested in the other’s essence receptacle, that essence is immediately uninvested.
If the veiled allegiant has no essence pool, they may use their swift action to allow their akashic drake to invest or reallocate its own essence.
This replaces the dragoon’s shared vigor class feature.
